You are advised to always use caution when swimming and we respectfully remind you that it is very dangerous to swim after eating or drinking. Remember that swimming is undertaken at your own risk.

Please note that pools have depth markings. Also note that diving is not permitted. The use of the pools is at your own risk. There are no lifeguards on duty.

Children must be supervised at all times when using the swimming pools.

We would like to assure our guests that our staff are available 24 hours a day to assist in any way they can.

We have basic First Aid kits available, and if necessary, a doctor on call 24 hours a day.

While many travelers react sensitively to climate change, time change and unusual food,

others experience stomach troubles simply due to the travel preparations and the journey itself.

Give yourself a rest for the first few days so that your body can adjust itself to the new circumstances.

Always wash your hands after going to the toilet and before handling food & drink.

Wash hands thoroughly with liquid soap and warm water and dry afterwards. Do not share towels.

Use Anti-bacterial soaps & liquids where possible.

Always drink bottled water, and always use bottled water for washing food and cleaning your teeth.

Be careful to stay hydrated – make sure you drink plenty of water during the day,

try not to drink too much alcohol/tea/coffee, as these can actually dehydrate you.

Take care in the sun – especially children - It is far too easy to get carried away

and forget about protecting yourself from the sun.

Reapply sun cream every two hours, and always after swimming.

Wearing a hat can help prevent sunstroke, sun creams and clothing can prevent burning.

Avoid eating too many meals with fatty ingredients and/or a lot of sugar.

Do not mix eating and drinking alcohol all the time, give your stomach a rest once in a while.

Use an insect repellent if you are prone to insect bites and cover arms and legs where possible.

It is not recommended to have your air conditioning lower than 23°C

and do not stay with an overheated body in strong air-conditioned rooms.

Take care when in the vicinity of stray cats / dogs and other animals.

In the event of a bite or scratch form an animal, clean the wound as quickly as possible (preferably with alcohol)

and seek medical attention.

If you are taking part in any hazardous sports, for example water sports or scuba diving,

always check that your insurance policy covers you in the event of an accident.

Remember that you must always allow 24hours between your dive and your flight.

If you fall ill during your stay with us, please inform Reception immediately.

A doctor is on call 24 hours a day.

If you do need any medical attention during your holiday,

it is advisable to keep all receipts and documentation where possible,

to help with any subsequent insurance claim.

Note: A rumble in the stomach is not always an indication of diarrhoea.

Doctors only talk about diarrhea when somebody passes stools more than 3 times a day,

thus gauging if it is diarrhea has more to do with its consistency along with its form.

Acute diarrhea, which can occur during a holiday,

is mostly a protective reaction of the body to changes in climate/diet.

In the case of a Sickness & Diarrhea virus, do try and look after yourself in your room.

Please do not use the pool(s), public areas or attend family/social gatherings until you have been free of symptoms for 48 hours (Room service can be provided during restaurant opening hours so that you can dine in your room).

You are still infectious, even if your symptoms have stopped.

Our housekeeping staff can also ‘deep clean’ your room, removing dirty sheets/towels,

as well as cleaning bathrooms and bleaching/sanitising the area.

While recovering from a case of sickness, be careful what foods you re-introduce to your diet.

Try and eat as plain/dry food as possible, grilled chicken, boiled rice, dry toast/crackers.

Avoid dairy foods, fried foods, spicy foods and sauces, including ketchup & mayonnaise,

for the first 48 hours whilst your digestive system recovers.
